Grandstand Halo
Automatically build daily attendee alert groups from visitors who open your app on the event grounds. Send timely updates to an audience identified as attending that day.
Available with Platinum and Titanium.
Why daily audiences matter
Your Saturday crowd is different from your Sunday crowd. Daily audiences help your team make event-day messages more relevant to the app users who attended that day.
Grandstand Halo is the new name for Grandstand’s existing automatic daily attendee alert groups.
How Halo works
The app must be opened within the configured event grounds on a qualifying day.
The daily audience consists of qualifying app users identified as attending that day.
Choose the day’s attendee alert group for weather updates, schedule changes, or useful reminders.
Location permission is needed to identify attendance; notification permission is needed to receive push alerts.
Practical uses
Share changes to the day’s outdoor activities when weather affects the program.
Let the day’s audience know when a performance moves to another time or venue.
Remind that day’s attendees about activities happening during the event day.
What “today’s crowd” means
Halo identifies qualifying app users who open the app within the configured event grounds on a qualifying day and have the relevant permissions. It does not cover every attendee or add someone simply because they walk through a gate.
Daily group membership does not mean a person remains onsite. Recipients may have left the grounds before an alert is sent. Halo does not imply continuous background tracking.
Halo’s automatic daily audiences are distinct from manually selected alert groups and from geofenced in-app messages shown when someone uses the app in a configured area.
Halo’s automatic daily groups do not count toward your package’s listed alert-group allowance.
